Established in 1976 Horton, Shields and Knox provides experience and enthusiasm in representing its clients in the trial and appellate arenas in both Connecticut and the Second Circuit. The members of the firm have been involved in hundreds of cases in the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts. Many of those appeals have shaped the substantive law in areas including constitutional law, civil rights, contracts, and child protection. The lawyers also consult with and assist trial lawyers in a number of areas including medical malpractice and family cases on trial strategy and preservation of issues for appeal.
